Conditions treated here

  • Achilles tendinopathy Pain and stiffness at the back of the heel that is worst on the first steps of the morning and eases as you warm up. It responds to progressive loading, not rest.
  • Vertigo and BPPV Brief, intense spinning triggered by head position changes. Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is common, mechanical, and usually resolves in one to three treatment sessions.
  • Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylalgia) Pain on the outer elbow that shows up when you grip, lift a kettle or shake hands. Most cases have nothing to do with tennis, and loading beats rest.
  • Plantar heel pain Sharp heel pain on the first steps of the morning that eases with walking and returns after sitting.
  • Rotator cuff and shoulder pain Pain reaching overhead or behind the back, often worse at night when lying on that side.
  • Low back pain The most common presentation in physiotherapy, and the one with the widest range of causes.
  • TMJ and jaw pain Jaw pain, clicking, locking or restricted opening, often alongside neck pain and headaches.
  • Hip impingement (FAI) A pinching or blocking sensation at the front of the hip in deep flexion, common in lifters and skaters.
  • Post-operative rehabilitation Phase-gated programmes built around your surgeon's protocol and the specific procedures performed.
  • The Epley manoeuvre Sometimes yes, and sometimes it is the wrong manoeuvre for the problem you have. The difficulty is not performing it — it is knowing which ear, which canal, and whether what you have is positional vertigo at all.
  • Neck pain and stiffness Restricted, aching neck movement, often with referral into the shoulder blade or arm, and frequently tied to sustained postures.
  • Headaches arising from the neck One-sided headache starting at the base of the skull and spreading forward, reproduced by neck movement or sustained positions.
  • Bone stress injury in runners Focal bone pain that worsens through a run rather than warming up, and does not settle with the usual soft-tissue measures. High-anxiety, and the distinction matters.
